Getting Started¶
The sandbox is a CentOS 7 virtual appliance image with a pre-configured YIAMKiosk, and it includes an OpenLDAP system with example data for testing.
Requirements¶
- 2GB free RAM for the virtual machine
- 20 GB of free disk space
- A 64-bit kernel
- Virtualization extensions
Download the Sandbox¶
Download the YIAMKiosk Sandbox OVA.
Import the OVA¶
VirtualBox¶
- Start VirtualBox.
- Select “File” -> “Import Appliance”.
- Browse to the previously downloaded OVA file, and click “Next”.
- Click “Import”.
VMware Workstation¶
- Start VMware Workstation.
- Select “File” -> “Open a Virtual Machine”.
- Browse to the previously downloaded OVA file.
- Click “Import”.
Start the Appliance¶
Click the “Start” button and a virtual machine console will pop up. Wait until you see a login prompt that says ”YIAMKioskSandbox login:”
At this point you can log in into the virtual machine using the following credentials:
Login: kiosk
Password: WedaConIAM
Take a test drive¶
Connect to your sandbox installation and accept the self-signed certificate: https://<server_ip_address>:8443/yk

Testuser: emustermann
Password: WedaConIAM
Admin: KioskAdmin
Password: WedaConIAM
